Erica (Ricky) & Andrew extend you a truly warm welcome to their home, the Rivendell Homestay Bed and Breakfast where you can stay in our fully fitted self-contained flat.

Rivendell is situated on the outskirts of the delightful town of Geraldine, New Zealand (which is only a two hour drive from Christchurch, as well as being on the Central South Island Tourist route for people travelling on to Mt Cook or the lakes and Queenstown) in a secluded spot with beautiful gardens ,just as with Tolkien's Rivendell in the Lord of the Rings.

Peaceful Settings.We offer you a peaceful and tranquill stay with the chance to unwind and relax without the crowds that you find in other tourist towns. You can take the time to wander our property and meet our animals, visit some of the local attractions such as the local cafe scene, golf courses, historical cinemas and jam and cheesemaking factories, or just sit back and be pampered while reclining uninterrupted in our picturesque gardens.
